A garage is typically a boon to homeowners — but usually because you need a place to store your car, and not as an opportunity for extra living space. But this family wanted to transform their garage into a backyard retreat that was light, bright, and inspirational. Interior designer Beth Dana who made their dreams come true.
Before she tackled this backyard structure it was a junky garage: “I was challenged to create a room that, although small, served many purposes and I wanted it to have a simple and cozy feel,” Dana says. So with a little reconfiguring, creativity, and some serious elbow grease she transformed it into the cutest cottage.
